MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishment, implementation and in detail guidance of recruitment and training programs.
- Throughout challenges and complications, constantly edifying and encouraging team members while simultaneously contributing any knowledge.
- Delicately assigning tasks according to the skillset and competency of every team member.
- Detailed management of deadlines and task progress, whilst simultaneously reassigning according to unexpected complications or unforeseen levels of difficulty that may arise.
- Searching for third party software's that may assist team members in any way possible.
- Supervising team meetings and assigning goals/aims for each individual team member as well as the group as a whole.
- Moderate collaboration with team members according to the technical knowledge necessary to complete certain tasks.
- Code health review and management according to coding standards and guidelines.
- Detailed translation of business requirements to individuals within the programming team.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science.
Experience:
- 5 years of Tech Lead experience, exceptional experience in agile environment and moderate experience in engineering management.
Skills:
Technical Skills – Essential for the Job
- Troubleshooting competency in multiple languages and frameworks.
- Exceptional skills in Leadership and Organization domains.
- Thorough grasp of appropriate communication to multiple categories of individuals on multiple platforms including Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Flowdock, Slack, Dapulse, Igloo, GitHub and Google Docs.
- Exceptional grasp of Combining security and authentication measures with third party identity management software's while simultaneously integrating said security features with device biometric scanners.
- Competency in autonomous testing services, DevOps, and agile methods, SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) cycle and networking.
Non-Technical Skills
- Willingness and patience to teach and initiative to master and share cutting edge techniques and technology.
- Initiative to lead and create an optimal environment within a programming team.
- Willingness to frequently conduct mental health assessments on each individual in order to come to conclusions that may change task assignment and team structure.
- Shows examples of personal projects on platforms such as GitHub.
- Willingness to respectfully raise certain concerns, when necessary, despite possible difficulties with team members for the better of the application.
- Ability to cultivate and carry out respectful yet constructive criticism conversations.
- Willingness to work outside of allocated hours, when required.
- Exceptional work ethic and integrity with regards to all work-related matters including good practice and implementation of preferred practices despite immediate complications.
